HRL Laboratories Leadership Changes Hands

Richard LangeLos Angeles — February 19, 2008. Dr. Matthew W. Ganz, chief executive officer of HRL Laboratories, LLC, has announced that he has accepted the position of president of Boeing Phantom Works. He will be replacing Bob Kreiger, who retired at the end of December 2007.

Effective immediately, the HRL board of directors has appointed HRL's chief financial officer, Richard A. Lange, as the acting president and CEO. Richard Lange was named HRL's chief financial officer in November 2007 and had served as acting CFO and special assistant to the president since December 2006. Before joining HRL, Lange had a 35-year career with Northrop Grumman Corp. During his tenure with Northrop Grumman, he held increasingly responsible financial and management positions including chief financial officer of Northrop's Research and Technology Center.

Richard Lange received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California, his Master of Science in statistics from Stanford University and his Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from California State University, Sacramento.

The HRL Board of Directors will be conducting an executive search for the position of HRL president and CEO.
