WASHINGTON, D.C., March 23, 2011―HRL's Chairman of the Board, Paul Kaminski, former Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Technology and chairman and CEO of Technovations, Inc., was honored with the Ronald W. Reagan Missile Defense Award from the Missile Defense Agency at a ceremony in the nation's capital.

The award is presented annually and recognizes individuals or organizations for "outstanding support, innovation and engineering or scientific achievement associated with technologies designed to defend against ballistic missile attack."

Kaminski served as Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Technology from 1994 to 1997 and was responsible for all Department of Defense research, development and acquisition programs with an annual budget exceeding $100 billion.

Kaminski also received the 2006 National Medal of Technology from President George W. Bush and was named a Pioneer of National Reconnaissance from the National Reconnaissance Office in 2007. He has served as chairman of HRL's board of directors since 2004.
