HRL Researcher to Participate in National Academy of Engineering's Frontiers of Engineering Symposium

MALIBU, Calif., July 8, 2011—HRL Senior Research Scientist Dr. Alan Jacobsen has been selected to participate in the National Academy of Engineering’s (NAE) 17th annual Frontiers of Engineering symposium September 19-21 at Google headquarters in Mountain View, CA. Each year the symposium brings together the nation’s leading engineers ages 30 to 45 to share and showcase their work.

Selected from approximately 315 nominees, Jacobsen will join colleagues from around the country “who are performing exceptional engineering research and technical work in industry, academia, and government,” according to NAE. “The young engineering innovators of today are solving the grand challenges that face us in the coming century,” said NAE President Charles M. Vest.
