Retirement Savings Plan 

Employees are automatically enrolled in our savings plan on their first day of service. HRL provides a contribution to each employee account based on their age. Employees may contribute up to 20% of their pay with a generous 100% company match on the first 4% of your contributions. HRL offers more than 23 mutual fund options that allow diversified investment opportunities.


Employees receive an average of fourteen paid holidays per year. Traditionally, the company observes a year-end holiday break between Christmas Day and New Years Day. 

Paid Time Off 

HRL offers employees a flexible paid time off bank. Employees receive up to 40 hours upon hire and accrue up to 10 additional days in the first year, up to 15 days per year after one year of service, up to 20 days per year after five years of service, and up to 25 days per year after 10 years of service.

Sick Time

HRL provides employees up to 80 hours of sick time (separate from PTO) on their date of hire. Sick time resets every January 1.

Educational Reimbursement Plan 

For eligible employees, HRL provides 100% reimbursement for tuition and books related to approved programs.

Fully-Paid Parental Leave

HRL supports employees’ growing families by offering a parental leave program. Eligible employees receive up to 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave to bond with a new child.


Our Malibu, Lost Hills, and Westlake locations offer employees a variety of options for exercise and recreation. The Lost Hills and Westlake locations support on-site fitness centers with cardio equipment, circuit training, and stretching equipment from 5 AM to 10 PM daily. The Malibu location offers on-site exercise classes. Beaches abound, and the South Bay Bike Trail extends 22 miles along the coast.
