HRL Laboratories Board Chairman Paul Kaminski to be Inducted into Aviation Hall of Fame

Dr. Paul G. Kaminski, Chairman of the Board of Directors of HRL Laboratories, LLC, has been selected as a 2020 inductee into the National Aviation Hall of Fame. An aeronautical engineer, Kaminski oversaw development, production, and deployment of major stealth aircraft for the United States Air Force.

Paul Kaminski was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He earned a bachelor of science degree from the Air Force Academy in 1964. He then earned master’s degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics and Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and in 1971 earned a PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University.

Kaminski served 20 years’ active duty in the US Air Force and retired as a full Colonel in 1984. During that time he served as the Director for Low Observables Technology. Among his many responsibilities he oversaw the programs that brought forth the famous F-117 Nighthawk stealth attack aircraft and B-2 Spirit stealth bomber.

Since 1997 Paul Kaminski has been the President and CEO of Technovation, Inc. He has been a member of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, Chairman of the Defense Science Board, and has served as a member of the Director of National Intelligence’s Senior Advisory Group, the FBI Director’s Advisory Board, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Technical Advisory Board, the National Academies Air Force Studies Board, and the Atlantic Council. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and an Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics.

The Congressionally chartered National Aviation Hall of Fame was founded in 1962 as an Ohio non-profit corporation in Dayton, the home of the Wright Brothers and the “birthplace of aviation.” Each year, the NAHF Board of Nominations, a voting body of over 120 aviation professionals nationwide, selects from a prestigious group of nominated air and space pioneers to be recognized by induction into the NAHF.  Dr. Kaminski’s NAHF Class of 2020 will be inducted at the 58th Enshrinement Dinner & Ceremony on September 26th, 2020 in Dayton.
